“When You’re Grown” Legacy Book
“When You’re Grown” Legacy Book
Short description
A custom-written and illustrated legacy volume created for your child’s future, preserving your voice, memories, and guidance to be read when they are grown.
Long description
The “When You’re Grown” Legacy Book is a privately commissioned book created for parents who want to leave their child something enduring: not advice delivered in passing, but words composed with intention and held safely until the right time.
This book is structured as a cohesive story-letter written in your voice. It gathers the thoughts that are often felt but rarely organized — what these early years meant to you, how you experienced parenthood, what shaped your family, and what you hope your child carries forward.
Rather than scattered messages, the material is shaped into an intelntional narrative arc: early memories, reflections on becoming a parent, the atmosphere of your home, the people who surround your child, and the principles you want to pass on.
You may choose to include:
- A structured series of story-letters written in your voice
- Specific memories from pregnancy, infancy, or early childhood
- Turning points that shaped you as a parent
- Family history your child may not yet know
- Important people in their life, and why they matter to your family’s story
- Descriptions of meaningful places — homes, cities, landscapes
- Traditions, rituals, and daily rhythms worth remembering
- Reflections on identity, character, and adulthood
- A closing letter written for a future milestone moment
The tone remains composed and intimate — never sentimental for its own sake, and never generic.
Each “When You’re Grown” Legacy Book is:
- Fully written from primary listening conversations
- Letters authored by the atelier following private listening sessions, written in your voice and shaped into a cohesive narrative
- Individually personalized with names, events, and lived detail
- Illustrated with restrained visual language guided by human art direction
How it works
You receive a structured intake document designed to gather:
- your child’s age and stage of life
- the time period you wish to reflect on
- key themes you feel are essential (love, resilience, identity, heritage, etc.)
- specific memories or moments you already know must be included
We then schedule two or more private listening sessions. These are recorded with your consent and guided by editorial questions. The aim is not performance, but clarity — to understand how you speak, what you emphasize, and what matters most.
From these conversations, the atelier:
- Extracts narrative threads
- Identifies recurring values and emotional patterns
- Establishes a coherent structure
- Drafts the manuscript in your voice
Writing and illustration develop in parallel. Visual elements are designed to support tone and pacing, never to overpower the text.
You receive a full draft for review. We refine:
- language precision
- sequencing
- emphasis
- factual accuracy
Once approved, the book moves into production and is printed as a premium heirloom volume.
