Gift an Invitation
Atelier Agolée creates custom-written and illustrated books through a careful, listening-led process. Each project unfolds over time and in close conversation with the person whose story is being held. For this reason, our work is not gifted as a product to be redeemed, but as an invitation to begin a story when the moment feels right.
Gifting an Invitation
A story may be gifted by offering an invitation to work with the atelier. This invitation allows the recipient to begin the process at their own pace, in consultation with us, and in alignment with the nature of the story they wish to tell.
Gift invitations do not require immediate action. They do not impose a timeline or expectation. They hold space for a story to be created when the recipient is ready.
What a Gift Invitation Includes
When you choose to gift a story, you receive:
- A written gift letter from the atelier, acknowledging the invitation
- The option to receive the letter digitally or by post
- A contribution applied toward a commissioned story
- Personal follow-up from the atelier when the recipient reaches out
The invitation may be shared privately, at a time and in a way that feels appropriate to you.

Choosing the Right Gift
Gift invitations may be offered in two ways:
Invitation by story book
You may gift an invitation toward a specific story book. This invitation applies to a full commissioned book, including the selected edition.
Contribution toward a commissioned book
You may also offer a monetary contribution toward a commissioned book. The recipient may apply this contribution to the story category and edition of their choosing.
In all cases, the scope, timing, and format of the work are shaped through conversation with the atelier.
A Considered Process
As with all Atelier Agolée commissions, gift invitations are subject to atelier availability and suitability. Not every story requires the same approach, and we take care to ensure that each project is held with the attention and responsibility it deserves.
Gift invitations retain their full value and are applied toward a commissioned story. The project begins when the recipient initiates contact with the atelier.
For Meaningful Moments
Gift invitations are often chosen for moments that carry depth or significance, including:
- Births and early parenthood
- Partnerships and shared histories
- Grief and remembrance
- Life transitions or milestones
- Family and generational stories
These invitations are not designed for last-minute gifting. They are meant to be offered thoughtfully and received with time.
