Big changes can feel confusing and overwhelming, especially for children.
Our custom children’s storybooks for big changes are created to help children move through moments of transition and uncertainty. These stories are designed to reflect a child’s experience, helping them feel seen, understood, and reassured during times of change.
Whether a child is welcoming a new sibling, adjusting to separation or divorce, moving to a new home or country, or adapting to a new routine, each story is thoughtfully written to mirror their emotional world in a way that feels safe and age-appropriate.
We begins with a private listening conversation with a parent or guardian, where you share your child’s story, personality, and the changes they are experiencing. From there, we carefully create an original story that offers comfort, familiarity, and gentle encouragement - without minimizing their feelings or rushing understanding.
These books are not meant to solve challenges. They are meant to accompany a child through them.
Each Navigating Big Challenges book is:
- Fully custom-written from scratch
- Shaped around a child’s lived experience of transition
- Created with care and sensitivity to a child’s emotions
- Illustrated through careful human art direction to support tone, meaning, and emotional safety
- Created slowly and thoughtfully, never mass-produced or replicated

How it works
- You will receive a short form to share initial context.
- We schedule a private listening session with a parent or guardian to better understand your child’s world.
- Your child’s story is carefully written and illustrated by our atelier, with sensitivity and imagination.
- You receive a beautifully printed storybook, created especially for your child.

Important to know
This is a made-to-order creation.
The story and illustrations are created only after commission, allowing each book to be truly personal and unique.
Commission Process: To begin, we invite you to submit a Request Your Book. For most commissions, we recommend arranging payment in installments, allowing the process to unfold with ease. Payments are arranged in three stages: the first installment is due before the storytelling phase begin, the second before the writing process commences, and the final installment upon delivery of the completed book. After receiving your request, we will personally contact you to confirm all details and arrange secure installment payments.
Refund Policy: Each Atelier Agolée book is a made-to-order commission, created specifically for one person or family. For this reason, all commissions are considered final sale. The work unfolds through a thoughtful, collaborative process that includes conversations, written exchanges, and review rounds, ensuring clarity and alignments at every stage. If your finished book arrives with a printing or shipping issue, please contact us. All concerns are reviewed personally and with care.
Shipping: All Atelier Agolée books are created as physical heirloom editions and are shipped once the commission is complete. Each book is carefully packaged and sent with appropriate tracking and insurance, reflecting the work and materials invested in its creation. Shipping costs are already quoted in the project price. We work with clients internationally and ship worldwide.
