Children naturally explore who they are through imagination. Becoming someone else for a moment — a helper, a builder, a guide, a hero — is one of the ways they make sense of the world and their place within it.
A Story Where You Become is a children’s storybook created to honor that imaginative process. Each story places the child at the center of a gentle, fictional world shaped around a role they are drawn to, allowing them to explore feelings of confidence, responsibility, care, and belonging through story.
Rather than focusing on outcomes or achievement, the narrative centers on experience — how it feels to help, to build, to guide, to explore, or to protect. The chosen role becomes a lens through which the child’s inner world is reflected with warmth and respect.
This book is designed to support imaginative play, emotional expression, and self-understanding in a way that feels safe, open, and age-appropriate.
Each A Story Where You Become book is:
- Written from scratch as an original work, created for one child
- Shaped around an imaginative role or theme the child is naturally drawn to
- Linguistically and structurally developed with close attention to the child’s emotional and cognitive world
- Illustrated through careful human art direction to maintain tone, coherence, and emotional safety
How it works
- You receive a brief form to share your child’s age, interests, personality, and the role or theme they wish to explore.
- We review the information provided and define the narrative framework based on your child’s imaginative focus.
- The story is written and illustrated by the atelier as an original work, developed with close attention to language, structure, and tone.
- You receive a printed storybook produced specifically for your child.

This is a made-to-order creation.
Writing and illustration begin only after commission, ensuring each book is developed as an original project.
The focus of the story is imaginative exploration, not instruction or prescriptive messaging.
Commission Process: To begin, we invite you to submit a Request Your Book. For most commissions, we recommend arranging payment in installments, allowing the process to unfold with ease. Payments are arranged in three stages: the first installment is due before the storytelling phase begin, the second before the writing process commences, and the final installment upon delivery of the completed book. After receiving your request, we will personally contact you to confirm all details and arrange secure installment payments.
Refund Policy: Each Atelier Agolée book is a made-to-order commission, created specifically for one person or family. For this reason, all commissions are considered final sale. The work unfolds through a thoughtful, collaborative process that includes conversations, written exchanges, and review rounds, ensuring clarity and alignments at every stage. If your finished book arrives with a printing or shipping issue, please contact us. All concerns are reviewed personally and with care.
Shipping: All Atelier Agolée books are created as physical heirloom editions and are shipped once the commission is complete. Each book is carefully packaged and sent with appropriate tracking and insurance, reflecting the work and materials invested in its creation. Shipping costs are already quoted in the project price. We work with clients internationally and ship worldwide.
